Vaastu Principles - Just in Brief
Vaastu has become a hot topic nowadays. An ancient construction science, Vaastu Shastra was resurrected in the beginning of the 90's. Vaastu is a science by itself, directly related the earth's magnetic field - an invisible but powerful force, which affects man's life. The earth is ruled or governed by eight directions or dishas. These are:

South West (Source of Character, Behavior, Cause of Longevity & Death)

North West (Source of Business, Friendship, Enmity)

Vaastu thus mainly deals with the natural needs of a man, like weather, winds, light etc., and the restrictions or passage of these natural sources in the dwelling. Vaastu Shastra assures that a house will contain happiness, peace of mind, good health and prosperity as long as the position of doors, windows, walls and water tanks are constructed as prescribed.
